The property group Lisney has made four new appointments

The property group Lisney has made four new appointments. Ms Janet Gillis has been appointed divisional director of Lisney's residential department, Mr Gareth Johnson has been appointed associate director, Ms Janice McMaster is company secretary and Ms Caroline McArdle is manager of residential lettings.

Mr Tom Shipsey has been appointed chief executive of Stonehouse, one of the largest wholesale grocery networks in the Republic. Mr Shipsey was formerly chief executive of the National Wholesale Grocery Alliance.

Chartered surveyors, Palmer McCormack, has appointed Mr David Potter to head its recently established retail rent review department. Mr Potter worked previously for Hamilton Osborne and King.

The marketing communications group Watermarque has made four new appointments. Ms Louise Durning has been appointed account director and head of direct marketing. Ms Nicola Steele, Ms Sorcha McCabe and Ms Phoebe deVere White have been promoted to account managers.

Mr Ted Laverty has been appointed general manager, North America at Audio Processing Technology (APT Inc). A graduate in electrical and Electronic engineering from Queens University, Mr Laverty, will be based at APT Inc office in Los Angeles. He will be responsible for the introduction of the company's latest ISDN and DSL deployment in the north American market.

Mr John McLaughlin has been appointed managing director of Aventis Pharma, the company formed by the merger of Hoechst AG and Rhone-Poulenc SA. Mr McLaughlin was formerly managing director of Rhone-Poulenc Rorer.

Buyandsell.net has appointed Ms Grainne Harte as marketing manager. Ms Harte is from Navan and spent her early career in international advertising with the CDP Group in London. She will be responsible for the promotional aspect of buyandsell.net.

Mr Christopher Dale has been promoted to managing director of BASF Ireland. Mr Dale joined BASF in 1985 and until 1993 held positions such as manager and director of several subsidiaries in the UK.

The Irish Brokers Association has appointed Mr Ciaran Sheri- dan as president. Mr Sheridan is from Wexford town and is the chief executive and director of Sheridan Insurances.

CityFlyer Express, a subsidiary of British Airways, has appointed Ms Susan Blacklaw, Ms Joanne Osman and Ms Niamh Dunne as account managers.

Mr Billy Huggard has been elected chairman of the Irish Software Association. MR Huggard is managing director of CPG Group.

FLS Aerospace has appointed Mr Stephen Henderson president and chief executive. A native of Scotland, Mr Henderson was recently president of BF Goodrich Aerospace component services division.

Thomas Crosbie Holdings Limited has appointed Mr John Leisk as project director of a new greenfield printing site to print the publications presently being printed by Examiner Publications Limited.

Mr Raymond Koch has been appointed chief operating officer of Nua, a management solutions provider for the Internet. A graduate in economics and education, Mr Koch has spent the past 10 years as president and chief executive officer of Datatec Systems.
