Mr Ciaran Conlon has joined corporate and public affairs specialists MRPA Consultants as account director. Mr Conlon had previously worked in the Dublin Chamber of Commerce where he was campaigns' manager.
Prospectus Strategy Consultants has appointed Ms Mary Gorman as associate director of technology. Previously, Ms Gorman was marketing director at Nua for three years, where, as well as heading up marketing, she was heavily involved in Nua's Internet consulting business.
Recruitment consultancy The Collins McNicholas Group has appointed two new sales and marketing consultants in its Dublin and Sligo offices. Mr Cathal Geraghty, who studied human resources management at the National College of Industrial Relations, has joined the Dublin team, where he will focus on sales, marketing and the commercial sectors.
Ms Vanessa Middleton has joined the Sligo team. Ms Middleton is a marketing graduate and has worked in marketing and sales for Jurys Doyle Hotel Group and Brian McEniff Hotels in the North West.
At the recent annual general meeting of the Irish Institute of Credit Management, Mr Declan Flood FIICM took over the presidency from Mr Jim Logue. Mr Flood, who is a credit manager with Shamrock Foods Limited, has more than 15 years' experience in credit management and was elected vice-president in 2000.
Ms Jackie Dunne has been named as investment support manager at Setanta Asset Management. Ms Dunne has more than 12 years' experience in the industry, having held a number of senior positions with Lincoln National in the UK and Bank of Ireland.
Manpower plc has announced the appointment of Mr Gerry Gorman as technical division manager with its Irish operation. Mr Gorman will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, engineering, materials/logistics and engineering design recruitment. He has extensive experience in the recruitment industry, having held the position of business development manager at the Marlborough Group and technical and engineering manager at Bond Personnel.
A number of new appointments have been made at Tom Canavan Motors. Mr Eoin McDunphy, who has been working in the motor industry since 1991, has joined the company as financial controller, while Mr Rocco Raso, who has been a member of the company's sales team for four years, has taken up the role of after-sales quality control manager.
