Ms Elaine Coughlan has been appointed chief financial officer at Parthus Technologies, where she will be responsible for finance, treasury and investor relations. She joined Parthus in December 1999 as vice-president finance and corporate controller.
Online recruitment and career services company StepStone has hired Ms Jacqui van Teutem as business development director with responsibility for the Republic and Northern Ireland.
Intune Technologies has announced the appointment of Mr Ed Mowse as director of software development. Mr William Killeen has joined Setanta Asset Management as investment manager. Mr Killeen previously worked with BNP Paribas Asset Management and Standard Bank in London.
Law firm McCann FitzGerald has appointed seven new partners, bringing the number of partners in the firm to 58. The new partners are: Mr Paul La- very and Ms Susan O'Halloran, who are members of the firm's e-commerce and IT group; Mr Sean Barton, Ms Yvonne McNamara and Ms Hannah Carney, who practise in the firm's litigation department; and Mr Colm Fanning and Ms Julie Quin, who specialise in asset and tax-based financing and are members of the firm's banking and financial services group.
Golden Vale has appointed Mr Ciaran Mulgrew as managing director of Saint Brendan's Irish Cream Liqueur Co Ltd, its Derry-based drinks subsidiary. Mr Mulgrew has also been appointed to the board of Saint Brendan's. Dungannon-based manufacturer The McAvoy Group has appointed Mr Bill McGinnis as group chairman. Ms Orla Corr has moved to the post of managing director from the position of financial director. Ms Maire McAvoy has become vice-chairperson, while Ms Mary Mackey is the new financial controller. Other board appointments include Mr Patrick McAvoy, contracts director and Mr Cathal McGuckin, the new sales director.
Limerick-based SMF Technologies has appointed Mr Philip O'Dea as engineering manager.
Mr Diarmuid Slattery has joined Design Factory, where he will work on multimedia business presentations and print work. Ms Louise Daly has also joined the company and she will work in digital media with a focus on website production.
HOK Residential has hired Ms Jacqui Tallon from the Sherry FitzGerald Group. Ms Tallon is now manager of HOK Residential in Rathgar.
Mr John Barrett has been appointed as finance director and secretary to all of the Moritz Limited group of construction companies, including Maplewood Developments Limited and MW Homes Limited. Mr Barrett was previously a partner for 12 years with Fitzpatrick Morris Barrett auditors and accountants.
Mr Marc van den Bergh has joined WorldCom Ireland as marketing development manager. Prior to joining WorldCom, Mr van den Bergh worked as technical manager at Eircom International.
