Beacon Integrated Solutions has strengthened its Dublin team with the appointment of three new consultants

Beacon Integrated Solutions has strengthened its Dublin team with the appointment of three new consultants. Mr Paul Dolan, a logistics consultant, has joined the company from the BBC in London, where he worked in both finance and SAP implementation.

Beacon has also hired Ms Grainne Ryan, a logistics consultant with experience in complex materials management for the aerospace and defence sectors, who previously worked for Shannon Aerospace, Cadbury Schweppes and Fuji Photo Film.

Ms Rachel Lumsden has also joined the company as a consultant. Ms Lumsden previously worked with Procter & Gamble in Britain and Australia.

SureSkills, the IT consulting and training group has hired Mr Denis Neavyn as general manager of consulting services, while Mr Kevin Reid has been promoted to engineering manager, having previously worked with SureSkills as senior network consultant.

Volvo Car Ireland has appointed Mr Macartan Mulligan as product and marketing executive. A marketing graduate from the Dublin Business School, Mr Mulligan held marketing positions in Dixons and Merops Nutrition prior to joining Volvo.

Mr Laurence Wale has been appointed vice-president and managing director of GE Mortgage Insurance, Europe. Mr Wale also joins the board of directors of GE Capital Mortgage (UK). He will be responsible for leading GE Mortgage Insurance's business across Europe, including Ireland.

Tegral Building Products has announced two senior sales and marketing appointments. Mr Paddy Kelly has been appointed sales manager (Ireland), based in Athy. Mr Kelly has been sales manager in the Republic since 1998 and his role has now been extended to include Northern Ireland. Mr Robert Gibson has been appointed marketing manager (Ireland) at Tegral Building Products and Turners in Northern Ireland.

Doherty Advertising has appointed Mr Paschal Taggart as chairman. The appointment follows the recent management buy- in of the agency led by Mr Mark Beggs.

Four new appointments have been made at CARA Group, which specialises in information technology and payroll solutions. Mr Paul Bealin has joined the company as sales specialist for network integration solutions in CARA's IT cabling business. Mr Will Taylor joins as an internet security consultant focusing ofn firewall and intrusion detection solutions. Mr James Farrell has been appointed business development executive for the company's professional services, while Ms Wendy Gay has joined as technical consultant from Compaq, where she worked on a number of projects on contract over a four-year period.
