The American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland has appointed Ms Joanne Richardson as chief executive. Ms Richardson has just completed a seven-year term as head of Delta Airlines in Ireland.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland represents and promotes the interests of American companies operating in Ireland.
It also supports the work of agencies such IDA Ireland in promoting the State in the US.
Ms Tracy Message has been appointed branch manager at the Dublin office of finance and IT recruitment specialists Robert Half International.
Ms Message has more than eight years' management experience in the financial recruitment area and has spent the past four years developing the Robert Half International business in Britain.
Opel Ireland has named Ms Michaela Dennehy as marketing manager. Ms Dennehy has more than 10 years' experience in marketing and communications, including four years spent in Boston. While in the US, Ms Dennehy spent a year working exclusively on the General Motors account, the parent company of Adam Opel AG.
Tralee Chamber of Commerce has hired Mr Peter Maguire to the new position of development officer. In the past, Mr Maguire has worked as entertainment director with the Rose of Tralee International Festival. He has also held a number of senior management positions, predominantly in the Munster region, including Kostal, software re-engineering and e-business company Piercom, and Tralee-based e-learning company, PulseLearning.
He has also provided consultancy services to Dell Computers, Waterford Crystal and Toptech.
Mr Andrew Feighery has been appointed audit partner of CGC Associates, the accountancy practice based in Dublin's IFSC. Mr Feighery has merged his own practice, Feighery & Company, with CGC.
At CGC he is now responsible for a client portfolio drawn from construction, retail, IT and consultancy sectors. CGC was set up in 1998 and offers accounting services including audit, taxation, company secretarial facilities and financial services.
Software company Onyx has strengthened its management with the appointment of Mr Chris Hill as EMEA marketing director. Mr Hill joins Onyx from Remedy Corporation, recently acquired by Peregrine Systems, where he held the same position. Mr Hill has more than 20 years' experience of marketing and management in the IT field.
Prior to joining Remedy, he was UK managing director at Broadbase Software.
At Onyx, Mr Hill will spearhead an integrated set of marketing campaigns encompassing public relations, new business development, customer marketing, interactive marketing, direct mail and events.
