Kayfoam Woolfson Ltd has appointed Ms Heidi Novell to the new position of international sales director. Ms Novell joins Kayfoam Woolfson from Tempur UK, where she was sales director.
Ms Olive Cronin has joined AFA Advertising as financial controller, where she will assume overall responsibility for the accounts department. Prior to joining AFA, Ms Cronin worked for Formus Ireland.
BMC Software has hired Mr Alan Hughes as internet sales division manager for the company's new EMEA customer contact centre. Before joining BMC, Mr Hughes worked with Gateway as call centre manager for the UK/Ireland.
A number of new appointments have been announced at Swiss Re. President and chief executive of Swiss Re Life & Health America, Mr Chris Stroup, joined Swiss Re's executive board on January 1st. Mr Martin Albers, currently chief executive of Swiss Reinsurance Company UK, was also appointed to the executive board on January 1st. Mr Giuseppe Benelli was appointed to the executive board committee on January 1st, while Mr Jacques Dubois, deputy head of Life & Health Business Group and chairman of Swiss Re Life & Health America, will become chairman of Swiss Re America Holding Corporation.

Mr Kevin Donnelly has been promoted to the board of Unilever Bestfoods Ireland, as business unit director for ice cream and frozen foods. Mr Donnelly has held a variety of marketing and sales positions in Unilever Ireland.
Online customer relationship management company Salesforce. com has appointed Mr Martin Moran as vice-president of international sales. Mr Moran, who was formerly applications sales manager at Oracle Corporation Ireland, joined Salesforce.com in 2000.
