THE Margin was interested to see that Powerscreen's sponsorship of the GAA All Stars has had an impact far from the field of play.

The Dungannon-based engineering company, which has a listing in London, received much exposure from the sponsorship land also met representatives of the major Dublin financial institutions at the awards dinner.

Before the GAA deal Powerscreen had few Dublin-based shareholders, but a recent check on the share listing showed that the holding in the Republic had increased dramatically.

Dublin institutions now have about 10 per cent of the company and Powerscreen will be listed on the Irish Stock Exchange from next week. And you thought fund managers liked rugby!
