Global outsourcing provider Arvato is to create an additional 150 positions in Ireland over the next three years, it was confirmed today.

The roles will be in its finance division, supporting increased demand for private and public business process outsourcing services in Ireland and overseas.

The company, which is a subsidiary of Bertelsmann, said more than 30 vacancies are currently available.

Arvato already employs 1,200 people in Ireland in its Global Finance business process outsourcing and IT/high-tech services divisions.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny welcomed the additional jobs. "Arvato makes a very valuable contribution to the business services sector in Ireland and I would like to congratulate the company as it celebrates its 15 year anniversary in Dublin and offer my Government's support as it builds its presence further," he said.

Arvato Finance now handles more than 60 million transactions worth over €50 billion every year on behalf of its clients. Its has operations in the UK, India, China, Brazil, the Philippines and the US, and employs more than 60,000 in over 270 subsidiaries across 35 countries worldwide.

"Our success over the past 15 years comes down to the partnerships we have established; not only with our international clients but also key organisations such as the IDA and Chambers Ireland," said Andrea Kaminski, president of international finance and Arvato Ireland. "These relationships form an extremely strong foundation for our continued international growth strategy."

Arvato has annual revenues of approximately €5 billion.
