Propertygate wins Docklands Innovation award

Established two years ago, company provides software for landlords

Tony Staunton and his company Propertygate, which provides management software for landlords, was last night named as the overall winner of the 2014 Docklands Innovation Park Enterprise Awards.

Established two years ago, Propertygate is designed for asset managers who require a single platform to provide instant transparency of their portfolio.

The company received a prize of €10,000.

Now in their 12th year, the awards are backed by the Bolton Trust, Docklands Innovation Park and DIT Hothouse.

They are aimed at showcasing companies emerging from the Docklands Innovation Park on Dublin’s East Wall Road to investors.

Separately, Keohane Seafoods was last night announced as the overall winner in the Small Business Awards run by the Small Firms Association.

The Cork-based family business, which was set up 2010, was the first company in Europe to produce a microwavable skin filmed frozen seafood range.

It currently employs 45 staff and supplies all the major retail outlets in Ireland, and recently secured a deal with Tesco UK.

The presentation of the awards at a ceremony in Trinity College Dublin was made by the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Eamon Gilmore.
