PET PRODUCT company Radio Systems Corporation is to create 56 jobs in Dundalk with the opening of a new head office.

The company will base its European customer services, finance, order management, supply chain and human resources departments in Dundalk.

The jobs will be created in these areas over the next three years, with 25 people expected to be hired by the end of December.

The company specialises in the management of pet behaviour, offering pet training, containment, safety and lifestyle product solutions.

Its product line up includes electronic underground fences, bark control systems and remote training products.

The investment is supported by the Irish Government with the aid of IDA Ireland.

“As our business continues to grow internationally, Radio Systems Corporation plans to make Ireland the centre of its European expansion, mirroring our structure in the USA,” Randy Boyd, founder and CEO of Radio Systems Corporation said.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said the announcement marked another good investment for the North East.

“By continued implementation of the Action Plan for Jobs we can accelerate the transition currently underway in the economy and create the jobs and growth we need,” he added.

The company has appointed David Verdon as a European operations manager to set up and lead the European head office in Dundalk. Mr Verdon previously held management roles Lurzen Technologies and Palm Global Operations.
