Recycling firm Panda to create 50 jobs in Dublin

Panda Recycling is to create 50 jobs in Dublin over the next six months as part of a major expansion

The group, which currently employs 650 people in Ireland, is the largest Irish-owned and managed recycling company in the country with over 175,000 customers, most of which are in the Leinster region.

Panda’s chief executive Brian McCabe said the new roles will be across sales, marketing, legal and operations.

“These jobs reflect Panda’s continuing growth and expansion in what is a highly competitive and challenging market. They are high-end positions that will help us to continue to lead the field in innovation and also to deliver better, faster and cleaner waste management and recycling services to more and more people,” he said.

Panda has more than doubled its workforce since 2010 and has increased turnover by 80 per cent over the last four years.

The company said it plans to invest €5million in the business in 2015 in infrastructure and a new hybrid fleet.

“This investment demonstrates our commitment to our customers and to the local Dublin economy. We will continue to support greater levels of recycling which will benefit the environment, will ensure Ireland meets its recycling targets,” said Mr McCabe.
