Support services group Siteserv has said it is involved in advanced talks that may lead to the sale of all of its operating companies.
Siteserv said, in a statement, that the transaction was not expected to have “any negative impact for staff, customers, key business relationships or suppliers”.
Any deal would require a vote of shareholders and Siteserv said it was not possible to quantify the final financial impact of the deal at this stage.
Recent media reports have linked telecoms businessman Denis O’Brien with a bid for the group. They have also suggested the company was likely to be sold for less than its €150 million bank debt.
Siteserv said it was exploring a number of strategic and corporate options for discussion with Irish Bank Resolution Corporation in advance of expiration of its existing debt facilities in December 2012.
The Dublin based group earned operating profits of €8 million last year, with €4.8 million of that coming from its British businesses.
It provides support services to the building, energy and telecoms industries in Ireland and Britain with clients including TV and internet providers BSkyb and UPC.
