RSA maintains its party reputation RSA Security's massive annual Data Security Conference drew 10,000 attendees to San Francisco this week, including Irish companies such as AEP, Baltimore, Buytel, Hush Communications and WorldPort.

The event is famous for its parties and, this time around, the San Francisco Symphony played the themes from Close Encounters and 2001, A Space Odyssey (the conference's theme this year, for obscure reasons, is the search for alien intelligence).

But no sooner had the symphony finished than female rocker Pat Benatar blasted on stage, singing a reworked version of Heartbreaker. "You're a code breaker, crash maker, virus maker; don't mess around with me. You're the right kind of hacker to release my new technology," sang Ms Benatar. Well!
