SUPERMARKET group Sainsbury is expected to issue a statement shortly commenting on Lord Justice Carswell's ruling in the North's High Court last week that the Department of the Environment had acted unlawfully in granting planning permission for Sainsbury's proposed new super store in Coleraine.
The ruling came following a judicial review of the Department's planning permission which had been sought by F.A. Wellworth and Boots.
The Department has indicated its intention to appeal the High Court ruling. Sainsbury is awaiting an outcome of this appeal. Around £1 million worth of work is understood to have been completed at the Dunhill Road, Coleraine, site.
