Salary increases at most of Ireland's top 20 accountancy firms have run in the 1120 per cent range in the past year, according to the annual Finance survey.
The survey shows that 77 per cent of firms saw basic, non-partner salary increases in the 1120 per cent range, while 11 per cent of firms had increases for non-partners of between 6 and 10 per cent.
Most accountancy firms see a moderation in the rate of growth in the coming year, predicting rises of 610 per cent.
The survey, which covers firms employing 5,400 people, reveals that more than 1,000 new recruits will be taken on in the coming year, up 11 per cent on last year.
