Scots' encore in our city of good cheer

EXPECT a second invasion of Scots revellers in Dublin in March

EXPECT a second invasion of Scots revellers in Dublin in March. Scottish Investment Trust directors John Allison and John Newall had such a good time after their victory at Lansdowne Road recently that they are organising a speedy return.

The two Johns have decided to set up a sponsored "Get to Dublin" weekend. They are expecting teams from most of Scotland's financial community as well as a number of London investment houses to take part.

Each team of two people will have £25 sterling to get to Dublin from either London or Edinburgh in 24 hours. The teams must arrive at the Bridge on Westmoreland Street by p.m.on March 14th.

The Association of Investment Trust Companies will be toasting the fastest team with champagne, while the team which takes the most imaginative route will get a trophy form the John's company, Ivory & Sime.
