WATERFORD Foods is unlikely to make a bid for Scottish Pride, the Scottish dairy company which has gone into receivership, according to informed sources.

Waterford has extensive dairy interests in the north of England, close to the Scottish Pride catchment area, but sources have indicated that the most likely buyer of the Scottish Pride assets is the Glasgow dairy group Robert Wiseman.
