Arthur Cox has topped a 2011 league table of Irish law firms advising on mergers and acquisitions.
Arthur Cox advised on 30 MA deals worth a combined $23.45 billion during 2011, according to rankings compiled by Mergermarket. This was almost double the level achieved by the Dublin-based firm in 2010.
In terms of value, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer was second in the Irish ranking, advising on four deals worth €11.075 billion. AL Goodbody was third, advising on 28 deals worth €10.525 billion.
In a separate survey recently, law firm McCann Fitzgerald was ranked first by information provider Experian Corpfin for MA activity by deal value here. McCann FitzGerald advised on more than €7.7 billion worth of deals last year.
