Development agency appoints four to board

Northern Ireland’s business development agency has made four appointments to its board

Northern Ireland’s business development agency has made four appointments to its board. The North’s Minister for Enterprise Arlene Foster announced yesterday that Ken Nelson, Gerard O’Hare, Scott Rutherford and Rose Mary Stalker were appointed to the board of Invest Northern Ireland.

Each board member will serve for three years and will receive an annual remuneration of £11,633 (€14,118).

As chief executive of Larne Enterprise Development Company and a director of Chain HR, Mr Nelson has been extensively involved in local business and the social economy. Dr O’Hare is chairman and managing director of property company Parker Green International and is a visiting professor at institutions including Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Mr Rutherford is director of research and enterprise at Queen’s University.

The Minister expressed her confidence that the experience and drive of the new board members would prove vital as Northern Ireland’s economy is rebuilt.
