BANKRUPT BUSINESSMAN Seán Quinn and members of his family dynasty never seem to be out of the hot seat these days.
Tomorrow, the latest battle in the Quinns’ war with the bank formerly known as Anglo Irish resumes.
In June, the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation secured freezing orders on the accounts of members of the Quinn family in an effort to protect up to €400 million of assets in the Quinn international property group.
Tomorrow Mr Justice Peter Kelly is due to deal with an application to continue these orders.
IBRC is also due to apply for orders appointing receivers over the worldwide assets of the Quinn children, including the husbands of his two daughters.
As this courtroom drama rumbles on, it seems the only sure-fire winners are the legal eagles.
Earlier this month the High Court ruled that the freezing orders on the accounts could be varied to allow €430,000 to be paid to meet the family’s legal fees from May to July of this year.
