Senior students to get euro package Post-primary school children are getting to grips with the euro thanks to single currency educational materials from Irish banks and building societies.

More than 370,000 students will receive a free "Euro Box" of educational resources on the single currency as part of the Euro Information Campaign.

Designed with the assistance of teachers and students, the Euro Box provides basic information about the single currency in response to such questions as: how? what? where? when? and why? It also offers a range of challenging, cross-curricular activities.

Each teacher and senior student will receive a handy pocket-sized euro converter. The kit itself includes flash cards, resource pages and wallcharts for use in the classroom.

Similar educational materials were distributed to 3,200 primary schools earlier this year by the national campaign which is co-ordinated by the Euro Changeover Board of Ireland.
