Industrial production increased by 15.8 per cent in September compared to the same period last year, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

A small number of sectors contributed to the rise, with pharmaceuticals accounting for more than half of the overall increase, followed by office and data processing machinery and electrical engineering.
