COASTAL Container Line, the Belfast based transport company, is to expand its operations between Ireland and south Wales, leasing an additional ship and purchasing a fleet of six new trucks.

Because of additional demand, Coastal has leased the Arklow Viking from Arklow Shipping for its services between Cardiff, Dublin and Belfast. Coastal is a subsidiary of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, which also operates lo-lo services between Liverpool, Dublin and Belfast.
