Silvermines has passed resolutions to dispose of its British aerospace division to Esterline Technologies for £12.8 million, and the disposal of its electrical division to its management for £5.5 million. Silvermines' chairman, Mr Bob Morton, said the company strategy to reduce its holdings to its broadcast, telecoms and video technology divisions demonstrated the board's commitment to restore the group's growth and credibility.
