Jefferson Smurfit director, Mr James Malloy has "disposed" of 170,000 group shares, according to a notice to the Stock Exchange. No consideration was involved because the shares were transferred as a gift, according to a group spokesman. He declined to disclose to whom the gift was made. After the transfer Mr Malloy holds a 0.48 per cent stake in the group.
