Softech Telecom has launched a new Internet activity tracking system which generates Internet usage statistics for businesses. The Ringmaster Internet Management System is designed to allow network operators to monitor and control Internet usage by employees. It reports on a company's Internet browsing patterns, and the source, destination and volume of e-mail traffic. It will also identify total bandwidth usage and actual requirements. The Ringmaster IMS can generate reports detailing the most frequently accessed web-sites and total e-mail traffic.

Softech has developed the product following recent surveys that have shown 45 per cent of Irish people accessing the Internet, do so from work. The most popular uses include conducting research, accessing electronic news, and seeking information on commercial products, entertainment and hobbies.

Softech intends to emulate its success in the Internet arena with its wholly-Irish developed Ringmaster IMS product.
