A computer software company was fined £250 yesterday for failing to keep proper books and accounts.

Cybman Ltd, Main Street, Howth, Co Dublin, pleaded guilty to the offence under a prosecution brought by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

Dublin District Court heard the husband and wife directors, Mr Mark Casey and Mrs Geraldine Casey, had left the running of the office to a manager which resulted in books not being properly maintained. The company had since gone out of business.

Judge David Anderson applied the Probation Act on similar summonses against the Caseys.
