The Minister for the Marine, Mr Frank Fahey, has expressed his disappointment at the lack of success by Statoil in its exploration well on the Sarsfield prospect off the west coast.

The Minister said the result was disappointing but did not necessarily have a direct effect on the many other prospects and play concepts which remain to be tested in the Porcupine Basin.
