The magazine contained a charming advertisement for the investment company Charles Schwab & Co, complete with an endorsement from the British royal, Ms Sarah Ferguson.

"Financial security doesn't have to be a fairy tale," said the Duchess of York, whose own financial difficulties in the past have been well documented.

Ever busy, the Duchess has also been engaged by Waterford Wedgwood in the US, selling luxury goods for the company chaired by Sir Anthony O'Reilly.

Ms Ferguson's name appeared as a commoner in the Schwab advert. Of course, Sir Anthony has taken to his title with zest and verve. Could it possibly be that he is behind the times?
