Paul Costelloe has made quite a business out of designing corporate uniforms for the likes of banks and airlines. But now the Irish designer has gone one step further with a uniform for British supermarkets group Sainsbury.
Sainsbury is doing a big corporate image revamp, using the slogan "making life taste better" with a new corporate colour of "living orange". Paul Costello's contribution to all this is a new staff uniform which features chili peppers, strawberries and spring onions on a royal blue background. The new Sainsbury uniform also includes baseball caps, fleeces and rugby shirts.
What next? John Rocha putting a design for Dunnes, Louise Kennedy for Tesco, Lainey Keogh for Superquinn?
