Me Finder Digital Watch, €18
If you have young children, chances are you have also had that moment when one wanders off without you realising. Not everyone is keen on going down the mobile phone route at a young age and GPS can be a little OTT. So the Me Finder Digital Wristband may give you some peace of mind.
It looks like a child’s digital watch, but instead it can be preloaded with up to five phone numbers. Should your child get lost, they just have to find an adult who can contact one of the numbers for them. It is waterproof and also has a childproof catch on the strap, making it less likely to be removed. And there’s not a GPS in sight.

Motorola Xoom 2, €399.90
Motorola is back with a redesigned tablet that it hopes will give the competition a run for their money. The Xoom 2 has been slimmed down and beefed up, all where it counts. A thinner, lighter tablet, the Xoom looks a little different from the original. It is easier to handle too, thanks to some design work at the corners. It is faster than its predecessor, with a 1.2ghz processor, and the screen has also been improved. And if you’re the type of person who likes to take your tablet everywhere, the Xoom 2 has been made splash-resistant, so it will cope with the odd rain shower here and there.
