Sony HD-PG5 hard drive
Sony has a finger in many pies. But until now, it has had very little to do with the external hard drive market.
Sony’s new HD-PG5 range is changing that. The
drives are intended for both data and
multimedia use, and are specifically designed to work with Sony products. You can connect it to a Bravia TV to record programmes in HD, hook it up to your PlayStation 3 console to view photos and videos, and even transfer footage from compatible Handycam devices without the need for a PC. It uses USB 3.0 too, so you’ll spend less time waiting for data transfers to take place.
It has a capacity of 500GB, and comes in black or white finishes.

Air Guitar Move, $39
Air guitar is so last decade. What you really need now is an iPhone peripheral that allows you to look like you’re playing air guitar, but translates your movements into actual music. The Air Guitar Move is from the same people who brought you V-Beat AirDrums and V-Beat AirGuitar.
The plastic (or limited edition anodized aluminium) pick connects to your iPhone or iPod Touch through the 30-pin dock connector.
It’s motion sensitive, so you can strum away and, with the help of an included app, your Apple device becomes your guitar. In fact, it comes with two free games: Arcade and Free Play. Best of all, it doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up a guitar in your life; it’s not designed for guitar experts.
