Home cinema has never sounded so good. Built around Bose’s Unify technology, the Lifestyle V35 system promises “vivid” surround sound in an easy to use package. The system allows you to use up to six high-definition video and audio devices, including a Bluray DVD player or games system, or even hook up your iPod or iPhone to a dock.
The package includes Bose’s small Jewel Cube speakers, and an Acoustimass module that works with the compact speakers to boost the sound.
Most importantly, the Unify system uses on-screen messages to bring you through each stage of the set-up process, and double checks you’ve plugged in the correct connections.

Envy laptops are made with a specific purpose in mind: entertainment. With a powerful processor and graphics that can handle gaming, video and 3D images on a 17.3-inch high-definition screen, the Envy 17 also has some high-performance audio technology built in to cover all the essentials.
Its Beats Audio technology, by the way, has a celebrity connection – it was developed by Dr Dre with HP – and uses the HP Triple Bass Reflex subwoofer to recreate audio as it was intended to be heard.
It has a couple of nice touches, such as the slot-loading optical drive, like on a Mac, and a backlit keyboard – just in case you have the urge to type in low light. A low-light high-definition webcam is also built in to the device. Its not short on storage space either, with up to 2TB of capacity on the hard drive.
