SOFTWARE PROVIDER Simply Dynamics is to create 15 new jobs in the next two years after a €1 million investment aimed at growin g the company internationally.
The company, which provides enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, specialises in add-on products that bring additional functionality to Microsoft’s Dynamics Nav platform.
The €1 million investment is coming from a mixture of sources, including company shareholders, retained earnings and Enterprise Ireland.
Simply Dynamics, which recently established an office in Cork in addition to its Dublin headquarters, plans to use the investment to create foreign- language versions of its products so it can target a larger number of customers abroad.
“We’ve had growth in the domestic and international markets,” said CEO Gerard Foskin. “We’ve found a niche in terms of what we offer and go in at a much lower price point than what would typically have been expected in the add-on market.
“Within existing and new products we’re developing we have to expand the market base – so we’re adding languages to broaden the market we’re servicing.”
Mr Foskin said the company also hopes to increasingly target customers directly, as opposed to relying on international resellers.
As part of this, some of the investment will be used to develop a cloud-based platform for potential clients to evaluate the software before they buy it.
According to Mr Foskin, making this move will shorten the sales cycle and make it easier for them to secure sales.
Simply Dynamics was established four-and-a-half years ago and employs 14 people, with that number now expected to reach 20 by the end of the year.
According to Mr Foskin, the company is projecting growth of 40 per cent in 2012, rising to 60 per cent in 2013.
“This year is going to be about investing in getting a wider reach and more streamlined delivery mechanism for add-ons in the international market,” he said.
