The Premier League isn’t over yet but already World Cup Fever is starting to build. Ireland may not be taking part this year, but players can still get involved - at least from their living rooms. Now you can right any perceived injustices over the qualifying campaign and play from the beginning pitting your national team against the best the world has to offer. There’s nothing revolutionary about 2014 Fifa World Cup; it’s the game we all know (and some of us love) with a lick of paint to give it that World Cup feel. And it’s certainly capturing the Brazil atmosphere. On the gameplay side, EA has tweaked it to appeal to both inexperienced players and the Fifa experts, so you won’t feel left out regardless of which side of the skill fence you fall. There is no next gen version of this game, so if you’ve been playing Fifa 14 on the PS4 or Xbox One, there’s a chance this will fall short of your lofty expectations for the game. But for those still sticking with the PS3/Xbox 360, it’s a decent addition to Fifa’s lineup, even if it will have limited appeal once the tournament ends.
