Aldi's cut-price Android tablet

The Medion Lifetab makes its way to Irish stores

€99.99

If you haven’t quite made the leap to the tablet world yet, take a look at the Medion Lifetab from supermarket discounters Aldi.  The seven-inch tablet is based on Android software and powered by a quad core processor, making it both compact and suitable for multitasking.

It comes with 16GB of internal memory and 1GB of RAM, so you can carry out all the email, web and multimedia tasks you’d expect. Despite its smaller price tag, the screen is decent too - usually a major failing in some of the cheaper models. It won't threten the like of the iPad Mini, but as a budget alternative, it is one of the better ones that we've seen.

It's available from March 27th.
