We’re already at the third generation of the Apple Watch, and the latest version is the one that finally brings in cellular capability.
That means you can make and take calls from your watch, and you’re not dependent on wifi networks or your iPhone for a data connection on the go. That will impact battery life, which is the same as the previous generation of the Watch, so you’ll be charging around once a day regardless.
The Series 3 has a few other new things. There’s a new S3 processor and an updated wireless chip that boosts performance, and an altimeter that will track your elevation when exercising. Like the previous generation, the Watch is swimproof and has built-in GPS.
The price hasn’t changed much though, so this is still a big investment.
Apple Watch Series 3, from €379.
