Benetel to create 15 jobs after raising €750,000 in seed funding

Irish wireless technology company Benetel

plans to create 15 jobs after it raised €750,000 in a seed funding round.

The new jobs will be mainly technical roles, with the company recruiting engineers who specialise in small cell technology. The expansion will bring the number of people employed at the company to 35.

International markets

The funding was raised from the

Seed Capital fund, administered by

Dublin BIC

, and comes at a time when the wireless firm is targeting 80 per cent growth in 2015 and 50 per cent a year for the coming three years.

As part of its growth, Benetel is expanding in international markets, including the UK, the US, South America, Asia and eastern Europe

Their market knowledge and experience have been a vital support to our growth to date, and it has given us a great deal of confidence to press on with our ambitious future plans.”

Founded in 2001 by a team of engineers, Benetel provides design services and test systems and LTE hardware platforms to wireless telecom infrastructure equipment makers.
