Much has changed since Cut the Rope debuted in 2010. For a start, the game and its spin-offs have been downloaded some 400million times, giving this sequel big shoes to fill. Cut the Rope 2 doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it does have some mostly welcome new additions. It's a physics-based puzzle game in which you must help sweets find their way into a cute, hungry monster's mouth. Most of this is achieved by (yep) cutting a rope: The sweets' trajectory is affected by which rope is cut, when you cut it, and how you use the other items, such as blow-dryers. Much is made from the game's simple, clever premise. For example, a sweet might be tied to multiple balloons and cutting one rope would change its direction. There are micro-transactions, but not too many, and you can buy "level solutions" if you get stuck. Cut the Rope 2 has shinier and sharper graphics, and is addictive and adorable. cutthrerope.net
