If you're a fan of the original Inazuma series on the Nintendo DS, you'll find a lot familiar in this title. That's mainly because Inazuma Eleven 3 is basically a port of the original on to the new platform. It's an RPG blended with football, where you use your special moves to win a tournament. For special moves, think less Messi and Ronaldo and more Pokémon. Mark Evans, the main character, has been summoned by Coach Hillman as he tries to create the ultimate national team. Your character develops as you train and prepare for matches. There's also quite a steep learning curve for newcomers; if you try to pick this up mid-series, there are certain points that will leave you scratching your head. Although Inazuma Eleven has tried to remain true to its roots, a little more innovation wouldn't have gone astray. The graphics look dated beside other 3DS games, and exploration isn't exactly encouraged.
