An Irish subsidiary of US software giant BMC saw pretax profits rise 30 per cent in the year to the end of March 2015 on turnover that was up 8 per cent. The company makes cloud-based software that allows managers to monitor IT services.
Newly-filed accounts show BMC Software Ireland posted a pretax profit of €1.16 million, compared to €892,690, on revenue that rose from €12.4 million to €13.45 million.
BMC Ireland derives its income from the provision of services to BMC Software Europe, which is based in Sandyford in Dublin. BMC Europe reported a €101.3 million profit and had a turnover of €260 million in the year to March 2013, according to Top1000.ie.
The company’s ultimate parent is headquartered in Houston, Texas. The group went private in September 2013 as part of a $6.9 billion deal led by Bain Capital and Golden Gate Capital. The company employs over 6,000 people and has an annual revenue of $2 billion.
BMC Software Ireland employs 69 people. Staff costs, including wages and salaries totalled €6.1 million for the 12 months to the end of March 2015. Directors’ remuneration totalled €196,249 compared with €299,163 a year earlier.
