UCD spinout Logentries is to create 20 new jobs in Dublin in the coming months.
"Logentries, with offices in Dublin, Prague and Boston, is now looking to double its size and in the coming months we will be seeking to fill 20 open engineering positions in Dublin where the company is looking for software developers, data scientists and engineers," co-founder Trevor Parsons said.
The company, which specialises in log data, currently services more than 10,000 users in 100 countries, and processes about 20 billion log events every day.
Dr Parsons said log data is like CCTV for a software system. Logentries takes reams and reams of log data in its raw format, which is not very intuitive and distils it down.
Founded by Dr Parsons and Dr Viliam Holub, Logentries was spun out of UCD in 2010. Last night, the university honoured the co-founders by presenting them with the NovaUCD 2013 Innovation Award.
The award, presented by UCD president Dr Hugh Brady, was in recognition of the global success and impact which the company has achieved in making log management and analytics accessible to virtually anyone.
The company has raised $11.1 million in a funding to date round, including $10 million this year, to support expansion.
