A new online Irish retailer plans to create some 40 new jobs at its Dublin base, it was announced yesterday.
BuyersClub.iehelps small Irish producers to sell their goods online for more competitive prices.
It sells a combination of well-known international branded products at discounted prices and goods from small Irish companies.
Many of the Irish products which the website sells are artisan type foods such as Dalkey mustard and Danucci truffles
The jobs it will create in the next 12-18 months will be in logistics, IT, software, customer service and marketing.
It is run by PDQ Distribution Ltd and based in an 18,000 sq ft warehouse Blanchardstown.
Yesterday Taoiseach Enda Kenny met suppliers and workers at the warehouse. He said the company was “very competitive” and would provide opportunities for people “all over the country”.
