DUBLIN-BASED Simply Zesty has launched what it claims is the first Facebook training suite for businesses available online.
Entrepreneurs and developers from more than 190 countries are using Facebook as their building platform, as the media landscape continues to move away from more traditional methods.
“Brands can no longer afford to spend €100,000 on lucrative television campaigns when they can get the same return for €10,000 through social media, which scales across the globe,” said Niall Harbison, Simply Zesty co-founder.
Facebook is revolutionising marketing strategies for businesses with more than 650 million users across the globe and in excess of two million in Ireland. “Facebook is becoming as important as Google and everyone needs to market on it,” added Mr Harbison.
The course provides access to more than 100 professional training sessions, available in high definition video, and experts who they claim can answer every Facebook-related query. “Our team is very reactive; every time Facebook makes a change we’ll have it on our site almost immediately. We will always have fresh content so people can trust it and know that they are not going to access something which is out of date,” said co-founder Lauren Fisher.
“This isn’t just a course on how Facebook marketing can work, it’s the day-to-day basic answers to the questions that everyone asks – how do I set up a page; how do I upload a photo,” said Ms Fisher.
The online PR and social media agency secured a €500,000 investment from The Oxford Research Agency for a stake in the firm last year. Since then, it has signed up a number of high-profile clients such as Nokia, Vodafone and Sony.
