ESB Electric Ireland is to sponsor the Dublin Web Summit’s Spark of Genius competition, which will see one start-up winning a package of cash and services worth over €40,000.

This year’s judges include Brian Caulfield of internationally renowned venture capital firm DFJ Esprit, Shay Garvey of Delta Partners and Mark Roden of Ezetop.

The competition was last year won by Data Hug which has subsequently been described by influential tech blog TechCrunch as “LinkedIn on steroids”.
