Dyson Dog Groom tool

If you have a dog in your home, you’re more than likely used to dealing with dog hair, grooming brushes and other implements. But Dyson has just made it a little easier, with a new attachment for some of its vacuum cleaners that allows you to groom your pet and deal with the resulting shedding quickly and easily. Designed for use with some of its upright and cylinder vacuums, the attachment collects any loose hair from your dog’s coat during grooming. Holding down a spring-loaded trigger brings out the tool’s bristles, and the suction from the vacuum is split so it won’t attach to the dog’s coat too strongly. When you release the trigger, the loose hair is sucked up into the vacuum. No mess, no fuss.

Boogie Board Paperless LCD Tablet

Forget fumbling for pens or notepads. The Boogie Board Paperless LCD tablet allows you to take memos, leave notes or doodle to your heart’s content on a thin, lightweight digital tablet. The screen is pressure-sensitive, which means it will distinguish between different types of pen strokes. A telescopic stylus is included, but you can use almost anything to create a pattern on the screen – as long as it won’t scratch the panel – and it can all be erased at the touch of a button. It’s not backlit, and it works off a single watch battery that will last for about 50,000 uses – that’s about six years if you’re erasing it 20 times a day. It won’t save pages, however, so if you need to keep a few pages of notes, you may have to go back to the more traditional note-taking method.

Samsung Omnia 7

With the launch of Windows Phone 7, Microsoft laid down some guidelines for the handsets it would allow carry its operating system. The Samsung Omnia 7 meets all of those – the five megapixel camera, large four-inch screen and 1GHz processor – and adds in some extras that are unique to the handset. Samsung uses the Now Hub to present news, weather and stocks, a service powered by Reuters. It also allows you to share images to different social networking website quickly and easily. Like other Windows Phone 7 handsets, you can integrate your Xbox Live account through the Games hub, and treat it as a portable office, with word processing and spreadsheet programs included. The Windows-based smartphone is sleek, with a metal finish. The only drawback is that the memory can’t be expanded, as there is no SD slot to allow for a memory card to be included.
