More portable than the iCade arcade cabinet designed to hold the iPad, the 8-Bitty is a retro- styled wireless controller for gaming on your iPad.

What’s great about this one is that it also works with the iPhone and Android devices too.

It’s modelled on the eight bit arcade controllers from the 1980s and 1990s, with a D-pad and eight button control.

The 8-Bitty has been designed to work with the retro games compatible with the iCade, so you get your Atari fix whenever and wherever you feel the urge.

Sony Walkman NWZ-A865

€170

If you still remember the Walkman as the bulky cassette playing device of your youth, you’ve a lot to catch up on.

These days, Sony has slapped the label on its new range of digital music players.

One of the latest, the Walkman A series, is a world away from its predecessor. The slimline media player has a 2.8-inch touch sensitive LCD screen, and stores hundreds of hours of music and video on its 16GB of storage.

The colour screen is bright and sharp enough to watch video on the go. The Walkman NWZ-A865 also doubles as a voice recorder too, and has an FM radio built in.
