Beurer’s range of kitchen scales covers everything from elegant digital scales to practical versions with a chalk board included. But it’s the Digital Mixing Bowl that grabbed our attention. Take one fairly average mixing bowl, add a scales and you get a very handy kitchen gadget.
It measures everything from liquids, such as oil or water, to ingredients like sugar and flour. The digital display shows you exactly what you have got in there, measuring in 1g graduations, while the 2.5-litre mixing bowl detaches from the scales to allow it to be easily cleaned.

Xtrememac’s Microshield Silkscreen SC Case is just one of them. The case integrates with the iPad’s Smart Cover, but gives the entire device protection. While the Smart Cover protects the front of the iPad, the Microshield protects the rear from scratches and other damage.
It still gives you access to all the iPad’s jacks and buttons, but it is tough. It comes in six different colours to go with whatever Smart Cover you choose.

Canon has updated its EOS 5D digital SLR range, with the Mark III version of the camera. Faster, more powerful and with a higher resolution, the Mark III shoots both high quality stills and full HD movies. It comes with a 22.3 megapixel full frame sensor, 61- point autofocus and shoots at up to six frames per second, capturing bursts of 18 RAW images.
There’s a few new additions – the Creative Photo button, which allows you to choose picture styles, capture multiple exposures, and access the HDR shooting mode. Of note too is the silent shooting mode, which means you can snap away without shutter noise giving you away.
