Some people, instead of happily tinkering with their drones during the day, would rather strap some LEDs to the front and fly them at night. In light of this, Parrot has made a drone especially for night flights, called the Parrot Airborne Night Drone. It has powerful LED lights and you can fly it out on patrol to your heart's content. As long as that's less than 10 minutes and you're willing to drop the bumper hull.
To get going you throw the drone in the air and the engines kick in, with a three-axis accelerometer and a three-axis gyroscope to measure its movements, while an ultrasound sensor analyses flight altitude up to 4m. It also has 1GB of memory to store photos shot by its vertical camera.
