Dot Watch ($290)
There are plenty of smartwatches available but how many of them cater specifically for people with visual impairments? The Dot watch is aiming to address that problem. The device is a smartwatch that delivers notifications on calls and messages to your wrist, displaying the information in braille, but it also links in with the app to bring social media notifications, directions and other functions into the mix. The watchface has a braille keyboard that changes in real time, and the battery doesn’t need daily recharging, so it’s less likely to die just when you need it.
